Team Peak Ascent

Take your team to new heights with a guided peak ascent. In Colorado, our Peak Ascents take advantage of the numerous 14,000-foot peaks as well as the lesser known, but still challenging 12,000 and 13,000-foot peaks. In other states, we can customize the program based on the available natural landscape. We choose peaks that require only hiking and possibly some rock scrambling. Technical climbing and ropes techniques are not necessary on the Team Peak Ascent.

Cover new ground
Outer Edge Performance will help propel your group into a new environment rich with challenge and opportunity. As your team ventures into new territory—figuratively and literally—they will explore concepts such as:

  • Learning and executing new skills
  • Goal setting
  • Planning
  • Preparation (mental, physical and emotional)
  • Leadership
  • Communication
  • Team dynamics
  • Managing limiting factors

Your custom Team Peak Ascent program will highlight interdependence and the importance of each member’s contribution to the overall success of the team, no matter what the task.

Your safety comes first
Safety is our first priority in all of our outdoor programs. Peak ascents are particularly strenuous and take us away from immediate medical response.  Therefore, participants must be in good health and able to handle a full day of strenuous hiking and varied terrain. Before hitting the trail, participants will go through a checklist of their necessary gear, and review the procedures everyone must abide by while on the mountain. The Outer Edge Performance staff will include a Wilderness First Responder and a trip leader who is familiar with the route and mountain. These events are not taken lightly; standing on the peak is not guaranteed and is a third priority after safety and group goals.
