Ropes challenge courses

Our challenge courses consist of ground level elements as well as low ropes and high ropes experiences. With these different options, we are able to work with nearly any group and tailor a program that is appropriately challenging for any individual. The challenge course is an ideal setting for team building work concerning:

  • Goal setting
  • Building community
  • Problem-solving
  • Strategizing
  • Relationship building
  • Trust
  • Confidences

Low challenge course
Our low ropes courses begin with ground-level icebreakers that are designed to break down barriers and help participants get to know each other in a fun and creative way. Ground level initiatives focus groups on pooling their resources, having fun, communicating and problem-solving that leads to growth in leadership, trust and cooperation – and lays the groundwork for taking on larger challenges. Our low ropes courses take participants off the ground slightly (generally one to two feet) and begin to add a group component to the challenge. Participants then begin spotting and supporting each other as they progress through the challenge at hand. Low challenge course elements illustrate heightened results when each member of the team has a voice.

Team members will experience and learn:

  • Strategies for enhanced team planning and goal setting
  • How individual contributions propel the group forward
  • Reflective inquiry – What can I do to help my team?

High ropes course
Our high ropes course offers groups and individual participants a challenging and exhilarating experience 20 to 40 feet off the ground. High challenge course elements are designed to empower each participant to work with each other to illustrate trustworthiness and support. Through being on the course, participants experience growth and change by exploring “choice” and risk-taking. The High Ropes Course also provides opportunity for participants to focus on goal setting, self-awareness, personal growth and the realities of what can be accomplished with support, commitment and trust.

Participants will experience and learn:

  • About one’s perceived and actual mental, physical and emotional abilities and limitations
  • How to give and receive help and support
  • Respect for each team member’s contribution
  • Individual choice and performance that supports the team

Achieve extraordinary results
Our challenge course programs are carefully designed to meet the unique needs of every group. We utilize the challenge course as an applied tool to:

  • Strengthen relationships
  • Build community
  • Identify leadership roles and qualities
  • Improve communication and cooperation
  • Increase trust
  • Improve self-esteem
  • Set goals
  • Try trust
  • Explore leadership

Programs can be designed on the low course, high course or a combination of both. Challenge course programs can also be coupled with other program options for a dynamic multi-day experience.
